RAG&BONE

The name comes from the rag-and-bone man — the old English trade of collecting unwanted household goods to sell on to merchants. Marcus Wainwright started the label in 2002 with no design training whatsoever; he found a factory in Kentucky willing to make jeans and taught himself denim there, with the manufacturer’s help. It has stayed on that same seam since: British tailoring cut against American workwear.
