La Prestic Ouiston
The name comes from Laurence Mahéo’s two childhood dolls. She began by cutting up vintage silk twill scarves and reassembling them into one-off pieces — upcycling before anyone called it that — each one numbered. The label proper followed in 2008 and ready-to-wear in 2010, still made out of her Paris studio, and the silhouettes still carry historical and literary references.
