Kelly Urban and Misty Zollars met designing at True Religion and started AMO in 2014, naming it for the Latin verb — amo, I love. The premise was vintage-inspired denim drawn from a woman’s point of view rather than a scaled-down men’s fit. Every piece the label has ever made has been designed and produced in Los Angeles.
