Citizens of Humanity

Jerome Dahan and Michael Glasser co-founded 7 For All Mankind, fell out with their partner, and won $55 million in the litigation that followed — which is what they used to start Citizens of Humanity in 2003. Dahan had come from France by way of Montreal to work in Los Angeles denim in the eighties. The company is one of the few vertically integrated denim operations of its size, running its own sewing and laundry facilities in Los Angeles and Turkey.
