Henry Beguelin

Henry Beguelin began as an experimental workshop on the island of Elba, making leather goods from natural and recycled materials, and started with belts before it ever made a bag. The little stick figure — the omino — is hand-embroidered in waxed thread on each piece and serves as the signature; the leathers are vegetable-tanned and vegetable-dyed, and the seams are saddle-stitched by hand. From 1998 the house traded for a period as Henry Cuir. Henry himself still lives on Elba and is involved again.
