JEROME DREYFUSS
Jérôme Dreyfuss made his first bag for his wife, Isabel Marant, because she lost everything. He had moved to Paris at seventeen to study fashion, quit the school after three months to work for John Galliano, and launched womenswear in 1998 at twenty-three — the press called him the enfant terrible of French fashion. He turned to leather goods in 2002, partly as a favour to friends who couldn’t find a bag that wasn’t heavy and covered in logos.
