The name is Italy’s international dialling code, taken after founders Rachid Bourak and Aysen Bitzer improvised a beach blouse on a trip there in 2000 and decided the blouse deserved better than its reputation. They showed the first collection in Paris in 2001, and the blouse has anchored every collection since.
