FALIERO SARTI
Faliero Sarti began as a textile mill in Prato in 1949, where its founder experimented with cashmere, virgin wool and silk to make cloth finer than the trade was used to handling. It stayed a fabric house for half a century. His granddaughter Monica took over the accessories side in 1991 and launched the first scarf collection in 2000 — the point at which the mill’s cloth became the thing you wear rather than the thing a coat is cut from.
