Jane and Denise had been friends for twenty-five years and colleagues for twenty when they started Jumper 1234 in 2014, on the straightforward basis that cashmere did not have to be serious. It is designed in London and knitted in Mongolian cashmere, gathered by nomadic herders only once the goats have begun to moult naturally. The colour and the graphic intarsia are the point, and the pieces are meant to soften the more they are worn.
